Objective 7. dissemination of knowledge.
METHODOLOGICAL APPROACH
Public presentation and reaction to feedback of findings and conclusions.
INSTRUMENTS
Active participation and co-organisation of conferences, publication in reviewed manner, web dissemination of results to the measures proposed as explained bellow.
WORK PERFORMED:
Active participation to 18 national and international conferences.
Organisation of a session at the European Geosciences Union General Assembly in 2010 and of a Splinter Meeting in 2009.
Session proposal for the Asociatia Italiana della Storia Urbana for 2011, and eventually session at the STREMAH 2011 conference.
Reports on the conferences with passive participation.
Concluding of publication agreements with international publishers, even for books which cannot be finalised during the current grant period.
Documentation of the project and the results for a report in cooperation with the “Ion Mincu” University of Architecture and Urbanism.
Creation of a website for the project, including preparation of the materials for web-presentation.
RESULTS:
18 oral presentations and several poster presentations at national and international conferences. At two of them invited speaker.
The organised session was a success, followed by a book proposal, which is currently in work (several submitted papers).
Invited in the scientific committee for the STREMAH 2011 conference and for the 2010 and 2011 WSEAS conferences.
Networking in several professional associations, including being member of international scientific committees and application for being member of the administrative board. Creation of and participation in related groups on Web 2.0 social networks.
Three articles in peer-reviewed journals, a national and two international (one ISI indexed); four authored books, one edited book, one edited journal issue, 12 conference proceedings articles, some of them ISI indexed, numerous abstracts.
Publication of the project summary and results summary in the research book of the department at the university where there is a half-time job.
A website, in English, for the project. The presentations are made available via SlideShare, the photos on photography websites.
RELEVANCE:
Through the contributions to the session an overview of the developments at European level could be gained, from a multidisciplinary point of view.
Also through the wide dissemination of the results at European level it could be known about the project. Especially the participation at the EU CHRESP conference led to inclusion of this project in several databases.
A network which might help for further scientific and career development.
TRAINING RECEIVED:
Passive participation at conferences and workshops in the field.
Course on how to publish scientific results (in frame of the doctoral training).
Short course on how to access European Funding.
